Amanda was a great, friendly teacher. The studio is in a really interesting location, and the doors were open so it was lovely and fresh (outside was baking). She carefully taught us the techniques we needed. We got a tester lump of clay first, and then the proper one to make our final piece. We'll get to return to decorate in a few weeks. Looking forward to it! Definitely worth the money!

The teacher Amanda was great, very skilled and professional, she gave us really good instructions, if i were to go back, I’d feel quite confident about trying pottery again. The studio was well equipped and chill, nice tunes playing the whole time. Feel confident that if you make a mistake, Amanda can easily resolve the errors you make, we now have two cool unique pots to remember our anniversary this year, would defo recommend

Amanda was so lovely and made us feel very welcome. She took time to make sure we knew each part of the process and was super supportive if anything went wrong. The nue is pretty cool as well someone was painting a big piece as we made our sculptures and the music was perfect

Got this as a gift for my mum's birthday and we loved it! We highly recommend Amanda's class she's a great teacher very patient and encouraging. She explained the steps very clearly and was really attentive to us the whole time which made it possible for us to catch on quickly to this challenging skill and come out with two lovely pots which we are very proud and happy with. We're excited to come back and glaze them soon. She even took these lovely pictures of us with our phones so we could remember the experience.

Our class with Amanda was brilliant. The class was really hands on and her explanations were really clear. The studio is lovely, in a cool little secret area of London I had never been to.
We threw two pots/bowls and could clearly see we were improving. We'll be back!

Very friendly and helpful teacher.
The surrounding Location was really beautiful with an urban artistic feel.
The place was nice, had a little difficulty tracking it down but found in the end. Description of Bright orange and yellow containers might have made it easier for me to find.
Making the pot was fun, and you could be as daring as you like, the class was very autonomous and although you have instruction, you could get hands on and do it all yourself.

Very fun, very therapeutic. Good job!

One of the best pottery classes I’ve had and I’ve had a few Amanda was so lovely, very patient and most importantly a really good teacher! The studio is in a nice location, everything was set up prior to our arrival and we got stuck in straight away. We came away with two lovely pots. I’m really looking forward to going back and glazing the pots! Thanks, Amanda!

- our teacher was lovely! She provided clear step by step guidance
- venue was a very cool studio in an outer-London location. Really nice place to get away and feel creative. I do recommend leaving a bit of extra time to find the studio if you are unfamiliar with the area.
- great value for money! £100 covers 2 people for an initial 2 hour wheel session and a glazing session a couple of weeks afterwards.
- overall we had a fantastic time and I recommend! A great activity to do with a partner, family member or friend. Be prepared to get hands on and a bit messy, as well as concentrate for 2 hours.

Amanda was incredibly nice and she was excellent at explaining the process of wheel throwing. As a beginner with no experience I thought I would not be able to make much during the first class but ended up making two very nice bowls. It was a great experience and will 100% recommend!

Xara Mac Apr 2022

Great class! Really enjoyable, Amanda was lovely and helpful and even gave us extra time, almost double the time! It was a birthday present so we were allowed to BYOB which was also a great touch. If you’re thinking of booking a wheel throwing class don’t hesitate to choose this one. We would definitely recommend and will be back :)

Jack Brittan Apr 2022

I'm so pleased I found this course, Amanda was endlessly patient and it made so much difference having a private class, as it is a tricky art to master! It was brilliant value compared to many others as I brought this for my boyfriend, but I got to come along for free too and the cost of glazing and firing your pots is included. The location is really great and it made for a really nice day!

Billy Lloyd Apr 2022

Amanda created a lovely environment for beginners. It was a very fun and creative experience.

Dan Abbott Apr 2022

Brilliant taster session class, excellent tuition (one to one) and lots of hands on practice on the wheel. It’s fun to take turn on the potters wheel and see your creation emerge … my pot was a bit wonky but it’s all part of the fun. Great studio atmosphere and a quirky location. Very patient and enthusiastic teacher and artist, which made for a pleasant, memorable and enjoyable evening.

We left with a sense of achievement and can’t wait to see our pots being glazed and fired in the kiln!

Looking forward to attending some follow up classes, after this taster session.

Aisha Matoo Mar 2022

Amanda Cotton (the teacher) was the sweetest and most patient person. She took the time to make us feel extremely welcome by chatting a bit about what we expected out of the session, as well as giving us a brief rundown of her experience in the ceramics space. She also explained the key concepts, and give sufficient time for demonstrations and practice before guiding us to make our own ceramics. The venue definitely gave off the right vibes, complete with calming therapeutic music. All materials were provided, including an apron to keep your clothes clean - that being said, it can still get quite messy so be mentally prepared for that. But really, it's just part and parcel of the experience.

At the point of making the booking, I was quite surprised at the price but after the session I'm fully satisfied that I got my money's worth because of the individualized attention and mentoring that we received.

During the session, we got to create our own ceramic (whether it's a pot or a cup or a bowl) with all the required attention. Furthermore, for no additional cost, we can leave the ceramic there for it to dry out, glazed and put in the kiln. We were told that we would be invited back after a few weeks to do the glazing before it goes in the kiln again. Overall, I went in apprehensive, but came out feeling so happy, like I left an art therapy session. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a couples' activity, or even something to do with a loved one.

The class was amazing! The teacher explained everything really well. She was really nice and supportive. The venue was nice and spacious, I liked the fact that we used white clay instead of the brown one it was more unique. The class is a really good for its money we got to make two pots. I learnt about how different clay works and the basics of using the wheel. It was a fantastic experience I highly recommend.
