Mindful Mandala: Drawing, Painting or Collage Workshop

Enjoy and explore a creative tool for meditation, relaxation and introspection at this calming workshop in London.

1.5 hours Class size 4 to 12     label £18

Mandala comes from the Sanskrit language, meaning "circle", it signifies the wholeness of the universe and historically tells a story about who we are or represents the world around us.

To start with your host will create a sense of peace and calmness, enabling you to slow down and open up your creative flow.

After learning the history of mandala you'll be taken on a step-by-step guide on how to create mandalas through intricate mark-making skills and bring them to life.

Then it's over to you to explore and create your own personal mandala, choosing symbols and shapes that are meaningful to you and your life.

There are two different ways to bring your mandalas to life:
1. Drawing - Using coloured inks and watercolours on specialist paper.
2. Collage - Using found objects such as dried flowers, leaves, buttons & gems to create a 3D manadala.

Don't worry if this is your first creative experience, as your host Tiffany will provide plenty of demonstrations, provide examples and support you throughout the workshop. Tiffany graduated in Fine Art from Lancaster University and is currently working as an SEN teaching assistant and plans to study art therapy.

At the end, you will feel relaxed, have beautiful works of art to display in your home, have created bonds with like-minded people and learned a host of new beneficial creative new skills.
