What you'll do
Escape to the bustling streets of Asia and learn the ancient art of dumpling making with this live-streaming cooking class from passionate Australian cooking collective, Drool!
In this hands-on and interactive class, you will have the unique opportunity to roll up your sleeves and learn how to fold dumplings from a friendly expert. You'll gain an appreciation of the joy of Asian cooking and discover easy recipes to make at home too! Making dumplings by hand is a labour of love, that will leave you feeling relaxed and excited to taste the food you've made from scratch!
Your chef will begin by taking you through a detailed demonstration and help you to refine your knife skills, make dumpling fillings and learning the art of folding your dumpling wrappers into various traditional shapes. You will learn how to make a traditional minced protein (pork or chicken) and mushroom dumpling filling, which can also be modified into a vegetarian or vegetarian version. You will also learn how to make two optional dipping sauces, a spiced black vinegar sauce and a chilli oil.
Once you have created your masterpieces, you can plate and then devour your creations. What could be better than making homemade dumplings and sharing them with loved ones!
