What you'll do
Do you love wine and cheese? Let us virtually transport you away to a picturesque winery for the ultimate wine tasting and cheese pairing experience, all from the comfort of your home!
In this delicious and interactive class, join DROOL's resident wine expert and sommelier Olga as she takes you through an in-depth wine tasting and cheese pairing. Olga’s mission is to take the intimidation and pretentiousness out of wine tastings and deliver a fun and personable experience in a relaxed and informative setting.
During your virtual experience, you will sniff, swirl and sip your way through six classic wine varieties, moving from sparkling, through to whites, reds and fortified.
As you taste your way through the wines, we will explore more deeply what wine is and those important factors that affect its overall taste including grape varieties, the geography and climate of a vineyard and the decisions made by a winery during the winemaking process. We will ask questions like how do these wines make us feel on a personal level? Do some excite the palate more than others? How do you distinguish a good wine from an average wine and a disappointing wine?
You will then learn how best to pair wine with a variety of three classic cheeses; one creamy, one hard and salty, and one blue. You will understand what makes for an excellent cheese and wine pairing and how the right pairing can not only enhance but transform a wine experience.
At the end of this live online experience, you will walk away feeling confident about wine, having built a solid foundation on which to develop your wine education. You will also have learnt some fun and memorable facts about tasting and cheese pairing that you can impress your friends and family with!

- Once we have confirmation of your ticket purchase, we will send you all the necessary instructions including your Zoom Meeting ID and Password, a suggested list of the wines and cheeses we recommend for the experience and a tasting card that you will guide you through this experience.
- If you are running late, we would appreciate it if you could let us know at your earliest convenience so we can ensure to accommodate you when you arrive.
- Cancellation and reschedule requests have to be made at least 48 hours before the class is scheduled. Tickets are non-refundable.
