Looking for fun things to do in Gloucestershire? Get back to basics and treat your taste buds to some smokey goodness with this cooking with fire class!
During this fire-fuelled cooking class, your friendly teacher will instruct you in setting up and lighting a fire pit, clay oven and BBQ, using charcoal from the Forest of Dean.
While the fire hots up, your teacher will demonstrate how to bone out a leg of lamb and add seasoning, ready for cooking in the clay oven. After that, there will be a hands-on demonstration on how to prepare a spatchcock of chicken.
These joints will then be marinated and cooked on the fire with your choice of marinade — you can choose from garlic, herb and lemon marinade, piri-piri marinade or jerk seasoning.
You will also make delicious lamb kebabs and stuffed flatbreads, all cooked to perfection on the open fire.
After all the firey foodie fun, it will be time sit down together by the warmth of the fire and enjoy your succulently cooked feast.
