Pasta or Pizza Making Class

Delight your senses in this Italian cooking class.

5.5 hours Class size 10 to 16     label £95

Learn to make pasta or pizza in this culinary adventure that promises to tantalise your taste buds! If you're on the hunt for a team building activity or a hen do with pals, this class ticks all the boxes.

It all starts with a delicious morning spread of coffees, teas, sparkling water, biscotti, and fresh fruit as you enjoy a warm and welcoming environment, setting the stage for a day filled with the flavours of Italy.

You'll then head to the Upper Malt House kitchen/dining hall for a hands-on experience in making fresh pasta or pizza dough all under the guidance of a seasoned teacher. Your dough will then rest in the fridge. If you pick to make pasta, you'll then set up the pasta making kit and craft a delicious pesto with your teacher.

Then it's time to take a pause for lunch and continue with the Italian theme as you delight in an antipasti graze table.

The afternoon unfolds with a fresh burst of creativity as you finish up making your pizza or pasta. In the summer months, there is an outdoor pizza oven and in the colder months, you will use an indoor pizza tray and oven. With a tutor by your side and all the necessary ingredients provided, you're in for a treat. Whether it's the sizzle of the pizza oven or the satisfying stretch of pasta dough, this experience is a feast for the senses.

This day of fun ends with a classic Negroni (weak!) or a comforting coffee, offering a moment of relaxation and reflection before bidding farewell to a day filled with laughter, new skills, and the aroma of Italian cuisine.

This experience can be modified. For instance, you can swap out one of the activities for some company training or strategic planning.

Il Bordello was originally the name of the converted Dutch barge, moored in Central Bristol, which had been lovingly converted by Liz Lewitt and her partner Zoff Hayward. It was a music industry and media members only bar, with events ranging from live music, art exhibitions and spoken word events to product launches, private parties and burlesque evenings. The cocktail menu was ground breaking of it’s time, it was the first bar outside London to sell vapourised alcohol and it welcomed musicians, artists, poets, party people and Hell’s Angels alike.

Providing bespoke catering, hospitality, classes and entertainment, for both in-house guests at Mill End and also ‘on the road’ for private events and guests of other large holiday lets, Bordello Banquets is a love affair with food; a visual, sensory feast; with Mediterranean menus and home cooking, using the very best of local and artisan products and a quirky and creative take on table design and styling. Bordello Banquets also specialises in hosting whole themed weekends for hen parties.
