What you'll do
Ever wanted to get into printing but didn't know where to begin? This linocut print workshop is the ideal starting point!
Lino cutting is a printing process that involves carving a design of your choice into a piece of linoleum, which is then used as a printing plate. Because of the ease of cutting lino compared to wood or brass, it's a great introduction artform for beginners.
At this fun workshop in a gorgeous studio marquee in the Cotswolds, you'll learn from a local artisan how to create your very own linocut to use for printing, as well as how to print an image and mount it in a frame to bring home with you.
Don't worry if you're a complete novice to the world of printing, as your expert crafters will be on hand to offer handy hints and tips to get the most out of your print. With tea, coffee and cake available during the session, the class makes a brilliant bonding activity for mum and dad, or even just a way to catch up with some friends over crafts.
