In this fun and engaging class, you'll learn how to set metal or wooden type and create a set of bespoke greetings cards with your own personalized message. No prior experience is required, so don't worry if you're new to this craft!
During the workshop, you'll be guided step-by-step in setting your greeting in metal type and using seasonal decorations to print a pack of up to 50 beautiful greetings cards. Imagine the joy on your friends and family's faces when they receive these heartfelt cards! The best part? You'll be printing your cards on one of our vintage Adana tabletop printing presses, adding a touch of nostalgia to your creations.
To make your cards even more special, you'll have the option to choose from a range of Christmas themed notions and create paper inserts for your cards. This way, you can truly customize your greetings to reflect your personal style and spread the holiday cheer.
Throughout the class, our experienced instructors will provide all the guidance and support you need. Don't worry if you're unfamiliar with the materials or techniques - we'll make sure you feel confident and comfortable every step of the way. Our aim is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where you can unleash your creativity and enjoy the process of crafting something unique.
By the end of the workshop, not only will you have learned a traditional skill, but you'll also have a beautiful pack of up to 50 personalized greetings cards to take home. Whether you choose to send them as Christmas cards or for any other occasion, these handmade cards are sure to bring happiness and warmth to your loved ones.
PLEASE NOTE: Our workshop space is on the first-floor of a Georgian mews building and unfortunately we do not have lift access. The workshop space is in our home which is not nut free. Please let us know of any skin or food allergies before booking.

The Collective was set up to help local artists and makers earn a living through sharing their creative skills and passions with others. Our name emanates from Loch Arienas: a remote and reflective spot in the Scottish Highlands much loved by founder Lynn Powell.
