What you'll do
Searching for creative new things to do in Edinburgh? Come and learn to craft your own handmade jewellery from silver with this fun full-day workshop.
Guided by experienced teacher Anna Campbell, this jewellery making class will cover all of the tips, tricks, and techniques you need to create silver clay boxes and beads from scratch.
In this class, you will make:
- A shadow box pendant.
- A Pandora-style silver-wrapped bead.
- A silver lentil bead.
Learn how to make box pendants with flat or rounded sides, use moulds to make decorations, design the front and back of a piece, make bails, and create different types of unique silver beads before torch firing your pieces so they are ready to take home by the end of the workshop!
The class size is kept small to ensure you have plenty of supervised practise, and Anna will also share lots of hints and tips.
At the end of this jewellery making class, you'll have all the confidence and skill you need to start making silver boxes and beads from home.
Please note:
- If you use reading glasses, please bring these with you as the class will include some close work.
- The workshop space is on the first floor of a Georgian mews building, and unfortunately, we do not have lift access.
- The workshop space is in our home, which is not nut-free. Please let us know of any skin or food allergies before booking.

The Arienas Collective creative workshop hub is located in a beautiful, Georgian mews home in Edinburgh's historic New Town.
The Collective was set up to help local artists and makers earn a living through sharing their creative skills and passions with others. Our name emanates from Loch Arienas: a remote and reflective spot in the Scottish Highlands much loved by founder Lynn Powell.
