What you'll do
If you're into interior design and want to bring a personal touch to your wall art, this printing class in Edinburgh will teach you the fundamentals of how to make linocut prints that'll brighten up any space.Lino cutting is a fantastic introduction to the world of printmaking, requiring minimal space and no expensive equipment to achieve really eye-catching results. During this class, you'll enjoy expert demonstrations from local artist Suzanne Kemplay, who'll get you familiar with all the techniques and tools you'll be using during the class. Then it'll be time to put what you've learned into practise as you start making your own linocut plate, prints, and greetings cards.First time trying printing? No problem! Suzanne will be on hand throughout the session with tips, feedback, and a helping hand if needed. You'll leave the class with all the personalised handmade prints you've made, along with the skills to carry on this satisfying art form yourself.Please note:The workshop space is on the first floor of a Georgian mews building, and unfortunately, we do not have lift access.This workshop is also available to book for private group get-togethers, themed wedding and birthday celebrations, corporate team building, and well-being purposes, and can be brought to a location of your choice.
