I have just found a group of reviews left last September, so my apologies for the delay in responding to thank you so much for taking the time to post this review on ClassBento. Mark is good at adapting his workshops to all levels of sketcher, as you say, and I'm glad you learnt so much about the practices of shading and perspective. And of course, to be kind to yourself when things don't turn out quite as you'd imagined! Making 'mistakes' is how we learn :-)

The Scottish weather can be a bit of a dampener on outside workshops, so we are lucky to live in an area which has such beautiful buildings nearby - and Mark is well-practised at finding just the right spot for the weather at the time! I'm glad you felt you learned so much from painting with our workshop artist, Suzanne Kemplay. I thought all the paintings were fantastic given the limited time. And I'm happy that you loved our home-based workshop space too: we like to think it's well-suited for private celebrations like yours :-)

We're so glad you enjoyed your beginners mosaic making workshop. We're sorry you felt a little rushed with completing your second mosaic project - it can be tricky to get the right balance when supporting a group of people who work at different paces, and who are new to mosaic making. But we're glad you welcomed the opportunity of working on more than one piece so you could experience different techniques.

We're sorry you felt a little rushed. We do cover a couple of techniques in this beginners' workshop, so it depends how much time people spend creating their first design how long it has to dry. Since this is a beginners workshop we don't have plans to ask people to come with a design in mind, since we assume it may be their first time working with mosaics. But we will keep an eye on this in future to see if we need to add extra time for drying.
