What you'll do
Join Sabira, founder of SKEN Studios, for an afternoon of ring making to create your own bespoke silver signet ring! You’ll learn the art of wax carving to create a unique, handmade signet ring. After your jewellery workshop is over, your wax ring will be cast in solid recycled silver, polished to perfection, and then posted directly to you.
Sabira will guide you through the process of carving your Signet ring design by hand from jewellers wax. Following an introduction and a demonstration of wax carving techniques, you will learn how to create your chosen signet shape and add intricate detail.
This is a great chance to learn a new skill, meet new people and make a one-off piece of jewellery to be treasured. Join this Manchester ring making workshop for a unique experience in the city!
Good to know
- You have the option on the day of the workshop to upgrade your ring to solid gold.
- Your ring can be polished to a mirror finish or a satin (matte) finish.
The workshop space is in the centre of Sale, South Manchester, only a 5-minute walk from the tram stop with free parking close by. Access is situated to the rear of the building
Please note that the workshop is situated on the first floor and is unfortunately only accessible by stairs.

What you'll get
Your own unique signet ring!After the class, your carved wax ring will be cast in recycled silver, polished and posted directly to you in up to four weeks time! Your ring will be specially packaged for you to unwrap.

SKEN Studios is a sustainable jewellery brand making playful, humourous pieces from their Manchester studio, founded by Sabira Silcock.
Our workshops at SKEN are taught in a fun, relaxed and friendly environment. This is a great chance to learn a new skill, meet new people and make a one-off piece of jewellery to be treasured.
All jewellery classes will be taught by trained jeweller, Sabira, who will enable you to make your dream piece of jewellery. Sabira holds a BA in from Nottingham Trent and an MA from Konstfack in Stockholm and has been teaching jewellery workshops for over 5 years.
