Come to the cute village hall in Adlington and learn how to make healthy and tasty vegan Buddha Bowls. A great way to eat healthily.

It's going to be a delicious seasonal bowl of goodness. We have a wonderful Middle Eastern theme for March, super tasty and full of flavour.

Think of the different elements of a Buddha Bowl:

  • Tasty vegetable concoctions
  • Delicious whole grains
  • Proteins - beans, pulses, and lentils
  • Crunchy sprinkles... nuts and seeds
  • A tasty sauce (pesto/chermoula or similar)

We will demonstrate how to cook and assemble the Buddha Bowl, and then in groups, you will make the different components of the Buddha Bowl. And then obviously, we will sit down to eat our creations! Lots of chatter and flow conversations throughout.

We have two special guests this time:
  • Nutritionist Lindsey Beveridge will be explaining all the nutritional benefits of Buddha Bowls.
  • Forager Dan Moore will tell us about what goodies we can easily forage in March.

This event is perfect for networking because there's nothing like a tactile activity for making everyone feel at ease and to get chatting without the awkwardness of a more formal networking event. This is why we wanted to offer it - a place to meet other people, share an experience, and get to know each other. There is definitely no pressure to come and promote a business.

This will be our third Buddha Bowl Workshop like this, and they really are full of lovely friendly people.

At the end of the event, you'll have a worksheet that we'll email you with instructions and ideas to make your own Buddha Bowl at home.

P.S. The bowl is both vegan and gluten-free.

I love to cook with others and I love to share my knowledge. For over ten years I sailed around the world working as a high end personal chef on luxury sailing yachts. I have a passion for food and have had the pleasure of travelling to many different countries seeing the assortment of flavours and variations of dishes. This has enabled me to pick up flavour combinations and skills from people around the world.

As a luxury yacht chef, you need to be able to cook a wide variety of food. Pretty much whatever the guests ask for, you need to magically make appear from the galley! I loved this challenge and it enabled me to discover and master a wide variety of cuisines. Wherever we dropped anchor I would hunt for fresh ideas -- the foods at the market, the fellow yacht cheffies, the local chefs and homes. Part of my on-going training has included an intensive course at the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners (ICIF) in the Piemonte region of Italy and sushi classes at the Japanese Institute in LA.

I have since settled on land and am now enjoying bringing people together through my fun, interactive cooking classes.
