What you'll do
Sip and Paint a dog, Fundraising event for our friends Harbin SHS animal rescue. We want to support all their hard work rescuing these precious dogs and expanding their rehabilitation building

We will have reference pictures of SHS dogs to choose from or if you have your own dog you would like to paint please bring a photo (or the dog!)
Guided by an amazing artist, Abigail, you will go through a painting step by step Through your painting. Although there will be plenty of instruction, you are more than welcome to go off-piste and add your own unique elements!
You will be using acrylic paints on canvas, Don't worry if you've never tried these painting techniques before! No experience is needed and this art class is perfect for newbies who just want to get creative.
When you're on the hunt for things to do in London with your pals, this workshop is sure to tick all the boxes. It's super easy to plan as all the art supplies are provided and drinks are available to buy at the venue.
To ensure an uninterrupted and fun workshop for all participants, we kindly request that attendees arrive on time, as late arrivals exceeding a 10-minute delay will be turned away to avoid disruption to the ongoing class and inconvenience to others.

Art Play London was founded by Silva Castellani in 2018, starting in galleries such as Phillips, and pop up venues around London.
Art Play is now a new art studio which opened in East London in February 2022, where children and adults of all ages are free to release their imaginations and inner creativity.
Art Play has a strong focus and the environment and aims to educate children and adults on their environmental impact through art, using a variety of sustainable mediums and materials.
Art Play is part of the worldwide Precious Plastic community which means it will be a plastic collection point for people to drop off their HDPE plastic which would otherwise end up in landfills or the ocean. The plastic is then shredding and melted and turned into useful objects and pieces of art, such as plant pots and coasters.

This was a fun class in a great location in the middle of Spittlefields Old Market
Abbey gave great instruction it was relaxed and informal with all materials provided.
With no pressure to create a masterpiece everyone is very supportive. Be aware that the room is busy and loud so if you’re looking for a quiet space then it probably isn’t for you. I really enjoyed the class and would highly recommend. Also, you can make a day of it when you leave with a trip around the market, fab stalls and great food choices

From beginning to end we were ‘WOWED’ - you enter into a fun and playful atmosphere with happy faces and eager to teach teachers.
The quality of paint and materials was exceptional and tuition first rate.
Put this together with it being an organised event for a charity made it all the moser wonderful.

Lvely teacher, fun couple of hours. Probably needed longer as could not finish. Also supporting a wonderful charity that saves dogs from Chinese meat markets Harbin Slaughterhouse survivors.
