What you'll do
This is a fantastic opportunity to get develop your watercolour skills, guided by one of our expert Hobbycraft Artisans. You can choose to follow along with your own materials or book any of the three classes available with a craft kit included.
Top Tip: You only need to purchase the craft kit once as the materials included will cover all three of the designs available.
The classes will take an online webinar format, you the opportunity to watch a live demonstration of the project while also being able to ask any questions. The host will lead you through different watercolour techniques over the course of an hour, taking you through the steps of mixing and layering your colours and adding depth to the piece.
You’ll be shown all the steps required allowing you to paint along, or you can work on your watercolour piece at any pace you choose. Each step will be shown and explained, and you’ll learn how to water down your paint to give a soft, subtle finish to your painting.
Three Designs Available:
Bunny
Paint a seasonal masterpiece by discovering the joys of watercolour as you bring a beautiful bunny to life. Learn how to water down your paint to give a soft, subtle finish to your bunny. Using the wet-on-wet technique, you can create texture and depth using a range of brushes.
Seascape
Capture a beautiful scene with this wonderful introduction to seascape watercolour techniques. The session will include guidance on different brushes, how to mix colours, how to lift up your colours and erase areas, and more.
Floral
Discover the wonders of watercolour with this floral-themed project, perfect for beginners. you’ll learn how to use a wet-on-wet technique to create a soft background tone. You will then be shown how different concentrations of colour can create depth and shadow.
