One-to-one Crochet Workshop

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a one-to-one and ask any questions you have about Crochet

1 hour Class size 1 on 1   £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague in store for a One-to-one and ask any questions you have about crochet. Stuck on a project? Need help with understanding a pattern? Trying to get to grips with a new stitch? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for crocheters looking for that next step on from our Beginners' Workshops, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need. It’s a great way to gain confidence with your craft, troubleshoot any problems you’re having with your current project in an easy, direct way or learn about stitches you’re not as confident with yet.

During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Artisan know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.

You’re sure to walk away a crochet pro, ready to take your designs to a new level!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Claire Simpson, attended Oct 2026: I was despairing of ever being able to crochet but after this session I feel much more hopeful. My teacher was patient and encouraging, she spotted what I was not getting right and encouraged me to be patient. I managed to try out 2 different stitches in the hour and I feel like I’m going to be able to do a bit more practice and then try making something. It’s also good to know I could book again when I want help with a project in future. My teacher was great but I feel bad that I forgot her name! I was surprised to get a couple of balls of wool, a crochet hook and a tote bag! I would definitely recommend booking a 1:1 session.

Within an hour, she helped me master a new stitch and gave me brilliant tips for building the project I wanted to create. Jackie was professional, engaging and incredibly patient. As a beginner, I really appreciated how she helped me choose the right type of yarn and explained the reasons behind her recommendations rather than simply telling me what to buy. She made the whole experience enjoyable and worthwhile. One of my daughters is autistic and has OCD and was very frustrated with not being able to pick it up instantly and Jacqui was kind, calm, positive and patient with her. She has given us lots of tips for practicing at home and written instructions as well as online videos to watch. We will be booking another session to learn more once we have had some time to practice.
  • 5/5 from Shelley Mott, attended Oct 2026: Anna was a great teacher, very clearly showed us the steps we needed to follow for our first time crocheting. I've taken the bits home and have been practicing, so happy to have learnt so easily. It is worth persevering through the rubbish ClassBento site and booking area to get a class. We hadn't even booked properly as the site is so rubbish but they still took us on. Would be easier to call in store to book, unfortunately that's not an option.
