What you'll do
Are you tired of ill-fitting tops or you're simply looking for a new sewing project to get stuck into? Here's your chance to join the fun and make your own Tops. In this online sewing class, you'll learn how to pattern cut and sew your own sweatshirt jumper top from the comfort of your home over two online classes.
The first session will focus on pattern drafting using the specially prepared bodice block supplied in your craft kit.
You'll learn
Altering the neckline, lowering the arm holes and waistline.
We'll discuss knit ribs and draft a simple pattern piece for the ribbing
Finally, you'll add seam allowance and annotate your pattern piece.
In the second session
Sewing up our sweatshirt jumper, adding the knit ribs to our collar, cuffs and waistband.
Taking it further, we'll discuss options to adapt your pattern pieces into other stylish tops.
By the end of these classes, you'll have the tools to make a hold host of new garments for your personalised wardrobe.
