Moho Crafts was created in 2017 with a sole purpose - to share the joy of making with everyone who crossed our path.

Making for us isn’t just a means to create things; the processes involved in creating have so many positive side effects. Making has been proven to boost self-esteem and resilience, reduce anxiety and stress, alleviate mental and physical illnesses and ailments, help to develop concentration, focus and interpersonal communication and improve numeracy, problem-solving, fine motor and haptic skills, to name but a few!

The crafts we offer are mostly textile based such as crochet, macrame, needle felting and embroidery but we try to seek out long-forgotten techniques such as Amish plushwork and toothbrush rugging to offer something a bit different from the usual stuff.

Our kits are our pride and joy! We design, make and pack every single one with our own fair hands to make sure that you are as excited to open them as we were packing them. We aim to use locally produced, sustainable materials and recyclable packaging as much as possible to reduce our impact on the world. Every workshop kit includes detailed instructions and video tutorials (where appropriate) plus a little refreshment package (coffee sachet, tea bag and a little sweet treat) to keep your energy levels up whilst you’re busy creating!

We aim to make our online sessions as much like being in-person as possible. We love a good natter with friends and so try to create an environment where we can get to know everyone a bit whilst learning the craft. All of our tutors were fully qualified teachers in a former life so are experts at planning, delivering and managing sessions.

Moho Crafts workshops are carefully designed to be fun, sociable, relaxing, welcoming, affordable and accessible so that as many people as possible can experience the positive effects of making.
