What you'll do

Choose Your Design

Send us your own design at least 48 hours before your session, and we’ll have it ready for you when you arrive. Don’t have something in mind? No worries! We’ve got loads of inspiring ideas and ready-made patterns for you to pick from. All you need to do is turn up, we’ll prep everything so you can dive straight into the fun.

All About Tufting

We’ll kick things off with a quick, easy-to-follow intro where you’ll get hands-on with the tufting gun, fabric, and yarn choices. Our friendly team will walk you through the essentials step by step so even if you’re a complete beginner, you’ll feel confident and ready to go.

Let's Get Tufting

Now for the best bit, tufting! With some relaxing music playing in the background, you’ll get into the flow of filling your canvas with colourful yarns. Think of it like a colouring book, but instead of pencils, you’re painting with yarn. It’s playful, therapeutic, and surprisingly addictive.

Finishing Touches

Once your design is complete, we’ll guide you through the finishing process: trimming, gluing, and adding a soft fabric backing. You’ll even get to shave your rug for that sleek, professional finish. This is where your piece really comes to life as a rug you’ll be proud to show off.

Take Your Rug Home

At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a rug you made yourself, a piece filled with meaning and memories. Many of our students create rugs as birthday keepsakes, hen-do mementos, or heartfelt gifts for loved ones (and even pets!).

My daughter designed and wove a beautiful and very unique carpet there, and she learned so much in the process! (not least that she was capable of making a carpet...) Bijean the teacher was brilliant at explaining and demonstrating how to use the tools and materials and very responsive to requests. The studio environment by the canal was calm, relaxing and friendly. The only downer was the price - which was more than I'd planned to spend - but for three and half hours of first class tuition + a wonderful rug to take home at the end of the day, it was worth it. Memorable, fun, educational and imaginative. All in all, a lovely afternoon out.

The studio had a fantastic, high-energy atmosphere and the instructor (Bijan) was incredibly patient, funny and supportive, making a brand new skill easy to learn. I went from a complete beginner to mastering the tufting gun, learning how to loop the yarn and shave the final piece for a crisp look. The sheer satisfaction of seeing Spidey’s iconic mask come to life and taking home a vibrant, high-quality rug I actually made myself. If you want a unique way to celebrate a milestone, I highly recommend this!
