What you'll do
The perfect introduction to calligraphy, taking you from the basics of how to use a pointed nib, to joining up words so that you can create phrases and greetings for cards and gifts. This is a festive workshop, so we will be using metallic paints to form lovely shimmering lettering, plus we will look at how to add simple illustrations like holly and stars to your calligraphy. You will finish by creating a stunning calligraphic Christmas Card with the help of our unique templates.
With demonstrations, warm-up exercises, alphabets and words to trace and copy, you will be guided step by step through the principles of modern calligraphy, so that you are able to build up your skills quickly and easily.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners – no experience is necessary. Your Zoom invite will come with your booking email confirmation, and we'll send it to you again 3 days before your workshop in your reminder email. After you've booked, please check your Spam folder in case the email ends up in there!
