Career Story Phoebe began her journey studying Journalism in Newcastle, at a Russell Group University. During her time there, Phoebe's passion for the arts and entertainment world led her to become an arts and entertainment writer for the esteemed Courier publication. Her articles covered an array of enthralling topics, ranging from art exhibitions to the latest film releases, establishing her as a keen observer and communicator of creative endeavours. Not only did she excel in her writing, winning an award for an investigative piece, but Phoebe also served as the Journalism student representative for her year, showcasing her leadership and team-building skills early on.
Phoebe's ascent in the content domain truly began when she secured her first role as a Content Producer in the film industry. In this capacity, she found herself gathering and creating exciting creative content by interviewing actors and filmmakers, including a director of a Star Wars film! Collaborating closely with leading film PR agencies, Phoebe was privy to the glitz and glamour of red carpet events, immersing herself in the world of film press. It was also during this time that she also delved into the intricacies of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), igniting a spark that would guide her career path ever since.
Expanding her horizons, Phoebe ventured into the realm of medical writing in the healthcare field. This new role not only allowed her to demonstrate her versatile writing prowess but also fostered a deep-rooted affection for mental health advocacy and wellbeing.
A passionate traveller at heart, Phoebe then embarked on a van-life journey through New Zealand, during which she continued to nurture her love for writing by freelancing across diverse industries.
