Want to find unique things to do in Manchester this weekend? To experience the city through the eyes of the people who live and breathe its creative scene, you need the ClassBento Team’s curated 2026 hit-list of weekend activities in Manchester (if we do say so ourselves!).
As a team of content creators and community experts, we spend our days scouting the best UK cities have to offer, whether that’s a spectacular specialty coffee or a local artisan-led craft class.
Here is our official expert-approved itinerary for the ultimate weekend for those looking for more creative things to do in Manchester in 2026.
How to spend a Saturday in Manchester
If you want to spend the perfect Saturday in Manchester, you’ll need a delicate blend of delicious local food, independent shops, a unique activity and of course, a good pub or bar to see off the night. We also recommend keeping each portion of your day to a similar area in the city to maximise your time in each place and conserve your energy for feasting and mooching.
This itinerary ticks all of those boxes – and some!
Morning: Phoebe’s slow morning (Head of Content UK)
- Idle Hands: You’re going to need to load up for a big day of Manchester exploration so kick the day off with a big ole’ breakfast/brunch. Phoebe recommends the divorced eggs (two eggs floating on a taco each) and a slice of their famous pie at intimate coffee shop, Idle Hands.
- Cedar Lifestyle: To balance the caffeine and belly full of food, you’ll want to sit down for a while – head to a relaxing candle making class nearby. Phoebe says it’s the perfect way to ease into a Saturday morning. Plus, you can have a little look around the independent trinkets and delicious smellies in the shop above – who doesn’t want to spend a Saturday morning doing that?
“Honestly, you’ll feel like you’re walking on clouds as you step out onto the street after your candle class – ready to breeze into the afternoon. You can hold me to that” – Phoebe

Afternoon: Vicky’s Northern Quarter shopping (Creative Content Lead)
- Unitom: Continue your mooch. For Vicky, Saturday afternoon is for zine browsing and birthday card buying. This isn't your average bookstore; it’s a visual library of local inspiration. Grab a specialty coffee and browse their incredible selection of independent zines and art books.

“You will literally want to spend hours there!” – Vicky
Evening: Robbie’s marina and spice tour (Senior Community Partnership Manager)
- Islington Marina: Robbie heads to his local Marina for a sunset stroll by the water. When the sun is out, the vibes are high so soak up them rays and then head for a drink

- Cask: Your first stop is at Cask in the marina for a game of darts and some inevitable dog-spotting, then hit Fringe in the Northern Quarter for authentic Belgian beers.

- Curry: For dinner, Robbie insists on the real deal: Cheetham Hill or The Curry Mile. Dig into authentic Pakistani cuisine and wash it all down with a fresh Lassi.

“Get some Karathi and enjoy some juicy sizzling lamb” – Robbie
How to spend a Sunday in Manchester
To us, Sunday is all about taking things slow. That said, we also think seizing the last day of the weekend before the scaries set in is important too. We had a think about how to spend the perfect Sunday in Manchester and decided the perfect formula includes: good coffee and a baked treat, vintage shopping and a slow creative release before heading home to pop on your pyjamas and prep for the week ahead.
Here’s where and how we’d do just that!
Amy’s Sunday slow-down: (Content Writer)
-
Siop Shop: According to Amy, their donuts are a "must-have" to get the Sunday gears turning. Wash it down with fantastic flat white and head on your way.

- Suzy Loves Milo: Spend your midday browsing vintage gems. It’s the team’s favourite spot for a curated vintage selection that avoids the usual thrift-store clutter.

- Fresco Art: Finish your weekend at Fresco Art. Unwind with an oil painting class – it’s the ultimate way to disconnect from the digital world before the Monday morning grind.
