Great workshop! Sofia was lovely and patient and a very good teacher! The workshop gave a good overview over different kinds of wool, carding, plying and everything else that is relevant in addition to the actual spinning itself. This was such a good starting point and helped me a lot!

The welcome from Sofia was great and as there were only two in the class we received individual attention. The venue was very close to public transport (tube) and comfortable. Sofia created a relaxed atmosphere where learning was fun. I thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and want to do more spinning!

I had the privilege of having a lesson by myself with Nessa. We made two beautiful hats (a lot prettier than in the picture) while chatting and getting to know each other.
The place is a little workshop full of tarn and knitting needles.
I was given to chose a few colored yarns and we finished then with the hat. I had just a little left for the pom pom which she was so kind to give me for it. She also gave me some knitting needles to make more with yarn I brought with myself and showed her after the lesson.

Fabulous workshop. Vanessa, my tutor for the day has the patience of an angel and help me understanding the pattern the pattern and show me the tricky techniques of increasing and decreasing stitches. In a coup,e of hours I had completed a very cute octopus and had the confidence to make more!

This has been a wonderful course. The three week course enables students to learn basic techniques and build skills up to more complex crochet projects. Nessa has been such a fantastic teacher/mentor. She is patient, humourous and makes the class very fun and interesting. Hope there are more intermediate classes available in the new year!

I have just made a woolly hat from an old sweater with Sofia at Four Otter Craft Studio. It was brilliant, the teacher had several items we could choose from to make and she guided me through my hat making step by step and gave me some ideas for decorative edges. It was fun and relevant to our concerns for re-purposing items rather than throwing them away and this gave me lots of ideas to try at home. Sofia was warm and patient and very enthusiastic about passing on her tips and ideas. It was great to go home with a new hat! I'd highly recommend this class and the Studio which is well-equipped and very cosy.

My tutor Nessa was very encouraging and gave clear instructions both written and verbal. She clarified things I didn't understand and generally de-mystified the construction of a sock so that I felt I understood its' anatomy. She was patient and let me move at my own pace each step of the way. The materials were good, perhaps I would have enjoyed choosing my own type and colour of yarn but this was a minor point. I enjoyed everything about the class and I honestly did not think I would leave with a completed mini sock but thanks to Nessa's patience and expert guidance, I did! FourOtter Studio is a great, well-equipped creative space in a lovely venue close to Wood Green tube. Fab!

Really knowledgeable tutor, after looking at samples progressed from casting on and learning specific technique to simple pattern making, and then how to read and create using the technique in a printed pattern. Tutor on hand to explain & help with all and any moments of confusion!
They only teach small groups and individually, highly recommended and I will certainly book with them again
