I have just made a woolly hat from an old sweater with Sofia at Four Otter Craft Studio. It was brilliant, the teacher had several items we could choose from to make and she guided me through my hat making step by step and gave me some ideas for decorative edges. It was fun and relevant to our concerns for re-purposing items rather than throwing them away and this gave me lots of ideas to try at home. Sofia was warm and patient and very enthusiastic about passing on her tips and ideas. It was great to go home with a new hat! I'd highly recommend this class and the Studio which is well-equipped and very cosy.

My tutor Nessa was very encouraging and gave clear instructions both written and verbal. She clarified things I didn't understand and generally de-mystified the construction of a sock so that I felt I understood its' anatomy. She was patient and let me move at my own pace each step of the way. The materials were good, perhaps I would have enjoyed choosing my own type and colour of yarn but this was a minor point. I enjoyed everything about the class and I honestly did not think I would leave with a completed mini sock but thanks to Nessa's patience and expert guidance, I did! FourOtter Studio is a great, well-equipped creative space in a lovely venue close to Wood Green tube. Fab!
