She explained the techniques we were learning clearly and we were all very proud of what we had achieved! She explained everything clearly and even though I had tried Fair Isle before, I learned to read the pattern in the class and some of the basic principles of Fair Isle knitting. I feel much more confident that I will be able to start a project with Fair Isle. The studio setting was intimate and made it easiy to relax and learn. The length of the session is ideal to give you a chance to practice and get the hang of it and to complete a sample. Wonderful class, Thank you.

I haven’t knitted in years, and never been any good, but the pace gave me chance to get a refresh on the basics as well. Lots of knitting chat as well. Will look forward to coming back for the informal evening sessions.

We had a really lovely time -- we learnt all about choosing colours and how to use the technique. The instructor made it seem really simple and I completed a swatch really easily, which I'm sure I wouldn't have been able to on my own. I'd definitely recommend Four Otter and the workshop!

I was a bit daunted to discover I was the only participant but Nessa soon put me at ease & it was great to have individual attention from her tailored to my needs. I learnt about the origins of fair isle & how to read & follow a chart. There was time for 2 practice pieces which helped me to gain confidence. Nessa also helped me to understand a pattern for a tank top I hope to master which was a great help (she even spotted a flaw in the pattern which shows what a good proof reader she is too!)
