What you'll do
In this class, we'll step more deeply into the wonderful world of colour knitting. The main focus will be on mastering the art of reading charts for stranded colorwork, considering yarn dominance and various ways to handle the floats on the back.
We will start by looking at the symbols commonly used in knitting charts and knitting a sample, and as we work on the sample we'll also address essential techniques such as managing the floats on the back of your knitting and understanding colour dominance.
By the end of this class, you'll have the confidence to handle more than one strand of yarn with a toolbox of techniques, and tackle exciting projects like fair isle knitting and Icelandic yokes.
