What you'll do

Join us for a beginner-friendly workshop. Whether you're a complete novice or simply need a refresher on using your sewing machine, this session is tailored for you.

This workshop covers fundamental skills necessary for confident sewing, aimed at helping participants manage their sewing machines effectively.

During this workshop, you will:

Understand how to set up and operate your sewing machine, including threading, bobbin winding, and switching needles and feet
Practise your stitching and understand seam allowances & finishing seams
Gain insights into project planning, fabric selection, and understanding fabric properties
Acquire essential sewing skills and familiarise yourself with common sewing terms
Construct, sew, and finish your tote bag to a high standard
Experience the joy and satisfaction of crafting by hand

The workshop accommodates up to 5 attendees per session. Private sessions for groups of 5-8 people can be arranged at a preferred location.

Important: Workshops with fewer than 3 bookings may be rescheduled. Those already booked will be given priority to confirm their participation or receive a refund within 7 days.

What to bring

Please bring:

Your sewing machine and power cable (unless you opt to borrow one from us for a fee).
The sewing machine manual and any accompanying accessories.
A bobbin and bobbin case, if required.
High-quality sewing threads in two or three colours, if available.
A complete sewing kit (available for purchase if needed).
A notepad and pen for notes.

Note: Ensure your sewing machine has been recently serviced and fully functional.

Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a birthday or hen do.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 8 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids. The adult may observe at the class for free.
