Join us for this beginner-friendly sewing class where you will master your sewing machine and make a tote bag to take with you.
This class covers fundamental skills necessary for confident sewing, aimed at helping participants manage their sewing machines effectively.
During this sewing class, you will:
  • Understand how to set up and operate your sewing machine, including threading, bobbin winding, and switching needles and feet
  • Practise your stitching and understand seam allowances & finishing seams
  • Gain insights into project planning, fabric selection, and understanding fabric properties
  • Acquire essential sewing skills and familiarise yourself with common sewing terms
  • Construct, sew, and finish your tote bag to a high standard
  • Experience the joy and satisfaction of crafting by hand

Knowledge required
Beginner-friendly class. No prior sewing experience needed.
What to bring
Please bring:
  • Your sewing machine and power cable (unless you opt to borrow one from us for a fee).
  • The sewing machine manual and any accompanying accessories.
  • A bobbin and bobbin case, if required.
  • High-quality sewing threads in two or three colours, if available.
  • A complete sewing kit (available for purchase if needed).
  • A notepad and pen for notes.
Note: Ensure your sewing machine has been recently serviced and fully functional.

Suitable for

This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a date idea, birthday or hen do.

Suitable for adults, and kids (minimum 8 years old).

An adult must accompany any attending kids (the adult may observe for free).
