French Baking Class: Parisian Classics

Learn to create a plethora of Parisian pastries at this tasty baking class in Cambridge.

Recreate the sensory experience of walking through the streets of Paris and its beautiful patisserie windows layered with the most delicious and tempting desserts with this baking workshop in Cambridge.

Hosted by experienced pastry chef Corinne, you'll learn a whole host of useful kitchen skills and build your confidence as you create your own mini patisserie's worth of tasty treats. You'll pick up the basics of making the ideal sweet shortcrust dough that'll serve as the foundation for all sorts of amazing delicacies.

In this class, Corinne will teach you how to make Paris' most iconic desserts:

  • Tarte tatin.
  • Tarte au citron.
  • Flan pâtissier.
  • Crême brulée.
  • Tarte aux framboises.

Don't worry if you've never tried baking before, as you'll have all the help and support you need to make your culinary creations. You'll leave the class full of satisfaction at your gorgeous array of treats, which you'll take home with you to share with your friends and family (if they're lucky!).

No previous baking experience required -- complete beginners welcome.

Your teacher

My passion for cooking comes from my childhood. I was born on the island of Réunion, a small French colony off the coast of Madagascar. Although my parents moved to France when I was very small, the spirit of the island was very much alive in our home, and especially in our kitchen.

I love introducing a touch of sunshine into my cooking and often add tropical flavours from Réunion to my desserts to give a vibrant twist to the elegant French classics. All the recipes used at Gourmandises Académie are my own, and each one has been developed with time and a lot of love. I’m so happy to have been recognised with three stars in the prestigious Great Taste Awards.

I am excited to share some of these recipes with you and look forward to welcoming you into my home as a student of the Gourmandises Académie.
