  • 4/5 from Dua Maryam Ahtsham, attended Aug 2026: Everything was perfect. But I did expect better co-ordination between staff I booked one-to- one crochet lesson for my daughter but unfortunately the teacher wasn't aware of that. But luckily another member of staff was there to help. Otherwise it was fun, will definitely book another lesson once my daughter is confident with double crochet.
  • 5/5 from Alyson Emery, attended Jul 2026: This was a very thoughtful 60th Birthday present from my son Really good introduction to crochet. The equipment given was spot on for beginners and the teacher very patient and knowledgable. Lovely relaxed atmosphere to learn in.
  • 5/5 from Annabelle O, attended Apr 2026: My daughter has been wanting to learn to crochet for a while so when the offor came up I thought it would be a good half term activity for her. We arrived and the team were very friendly. As she was struggling to keep up with class another staff member called Kate came and gave her some 1:1 teaching at a more simple level. She was very patient and repeated the teaching as she needed and encouraged confidence. She advised of hooks which may be easier. The whole team made us feel very welcome and we know where to come if we struggle. I am so pleased we visited for the session

It took me a lot longer to pick up the very basics than the other person in the class but I wasn't made to feel less important. The time flew by. Could have done with longer, to practice more. A little expensive for 1.5hrs but better learning face to face than online and provided with a hook and 2 balls of yarn.Convenient location.

  • 5/5 from Mandy Hazell, attended Jul 2023: Did the Beginners Crochet course, x 6 people. Personally, I thought that the wool was a good choice and nice colours, and the canvas bag was a nice touch. I thought i would do this course because when i learnt to knit at the beginning of the year on my own, i found it a struggle at times, and wished there had been somewhere to go, to learn the basics. Our tutor was excellent, I can only say that she was soooo helpful - explaining in easy to understand detail, which was exactly what was needed by pretty much all of us, whilst keeping the lesson light and jovial. She made me feel totally at ease, and I now feel able to go online with more confidence about what I'm doing. She somehow managed to divide her time to help each of us individually, as well as a group, and I cannot recommend her enough. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and felt that it was good value for money.
  • 5/5 from Shelley Jones, attended Jul 2023: Just attended the Beginner’s Crochet Workshop and can definitely recommend it if you are a complete beginner. Feel I have learnt the basics to now progress at home.

  • 5/5 from Sandra Poitiers, attended Feb 2023: I thoroughly enjoyed my class at Hobbycraft tonight. My teacher was extremely nice, easy to get on with and very patient. I couldn’t have asked for better. I was taught basic crochet stitches in very good detail and the course was taken at a very relaxed speed. I was astounded at the materials provided for my lesson which far exceeded my expectations. The other assistants in the shop stopped on their way by and asked how It was going which was also a lovely gesture I felt ver welcome. I was sorry when it was time to go home. Thank you for fulfilling one of my wishes. No improvements needed. Sandra
  • 5/5 from Alison Fletcher, attended Jan 2023: The teacher was so kind and patient, it made crocheting calm and fun.The time flies so fast with her and she was very understanding.
