What you'll do
Nothing quite compares to picking up fresh vegetables straight from the garden and cooking with them.In this class we will actually do just that, harvest what the garden has to offer and bring everything back to the kitchen to cook. We will from time to time use the lovely produce of local farms as well.This class is perfect whether you have your own kitchen garden, an allotment, a good farm shop nearby or just looking for inspiration.The class will include a selection of sweet and savoury dishes that we will cook together.If weather permits, some of the cooking shall take place outside. We will sit down for lunch and enjoy the fruit of our cooking, with plenty to take home still.This class will be totally vegetarian, but not vegan.

Your teacher
My passion for cooking comes from my childhood. I was born on the island of Réunion, a small French colony off the coast of Madagascar. Although my parents moved to France when I was very small, the spirit of the island was very much alive in our home, and especially in our kitchen.I love introducing a touch of sunshine into my cooking and often add tropical flavours from Réunion to my desserts to give a vibrant twist to the elegant French classics. All the recipes used at Gourmandises Académie are my own, and each one has been developed with time and a lot of love. I’m so happy to have been recognised with three stars in the prestigious Great Taste Awards. I am excited to share some of these recipes with you and look forward to welcoming you into my home as a student of the Gourmandises Académie.
