What you'll do
If you're looking to make your first basket but want to make something quick and easy then this online course and kit is a great choice. You'll get lifetime access to an online course with leading basket weaver and teacher Amanda Rayner, plus all the materials you'll need will be delivered straight to your door!
This kit is great for beginners (it takes 1-2 hours to weave) and makes a fantastic present for a loved one who wants to learn to do something with their hands.
During the class you will learn how to:
- Select and prepare your willow for weaving
- Make a round basket base - a core skill for beginner basket makers.
- Weave a simple 'pairing' weave on the sides of the basket.
- Weave a 'border' which is the ornate rim around the top of the basket.
These online courses are produced by a BAFTA-winning team of filmmakers, which means they're clear and easy to follow and our customers get great results. Plus, you get lifetime access so you will retain what you learn forever.
