Terrazzo Jesmonite Homeware Workshop

Create your very own bespoke Jesmonite homeware piece in a beautiful terrazzo effect!

3 hours Class size 1 to 10     label £45 - £50 (£50 per guest when you book for 1+ guests, £45 for 3+ guests)

If you're a fan of colourful homewares and want to add a bit of pop to your table, this jesmonite workshop is ideal for you!

During this workshop, your teacher will guide you through the process of creating your very own bespoke terrazzo homeware piece. This could be a small planter, set of coasters, soap dish or trinket tray. As you'll be coming along to my studio, you'll be able to pick and choose between my large selection of moulds and there will be an option to 'pay as you go' on the day if you'd like to make more than one item.

You'll be using Jesmonite AC100, which is an environmentally conscious alternative to traditional resin based products, and provides a lightweight alternative to concrete. Jesmonite is a water and acrylic-based, solvent-free product - making it safe for many uses.

You'll learn how to mix the material and cast into silicone moulds - but each piece will be individual to you as you can experiment with lots of colours and designs. Whilst the pieces are left to dry in the moulds, there will be a small break - and a chance to ask questions and learn a little more about the material. There is a coffee shop on site which offers hot & cold drinks, snacks & lunch options.

You'll go through the whole process in this workshop - from choosing colours and casting the products, through to sanding and sealing them ready to take home with you on the day!
