  • 5/5 from Valli Karthikeyan, attended May 2026: Amy, my crochet teacher was amazing and did a great job of teaching me all the basics. Very friendly and really good at making the learning experience enjoyable. Since I already had done a wee bit of crochet, I got to learn to start crocheting a bandana. And this crochet class on ClassBento is really worth the money as compared to Sashiko and the Botanical silk scarf dyeing which is on the expensive side.
  • 5/5 from Hannah Edens-Cripps, attended May 2026: What a great class! Perfect introduction to crochet. Amy was fantastic at showing us at our own pace. Also for accomodating to me being left handed. I wish there was a second class I could take in a few weeks with a few more complex stitches / adding different colours. Overall really happy with the session!

  • 5/5 from Paul, attended Dec 2024: Intro to crochet. Amy was super patient and a really good teacher. I was fortunate that I was the only student at the class so had more a 1-2-1 class than a group of 5. Having never done any crochet before I left confident that this is going to be a hobby I am really going to be glad I started. Thank you Amy for your patience and enthusiasm.

  • 5/5 from Mandy, attended Nov 2024: We had a private beginner’s crochet class with Zoe. She was so lovely and patient and guided us through every step. A bag was provided for us with yarns, instruction sheets and a hook. We learnt the slip knot, chain stitch, double crochet, treble crochet. We had so much fun, my 9 year old couldn’t stop raving about the class. We’re now starting our first project, a scarf for winter and have spent hours on it already. We will be back for another course to learn more. Thank you Zoe for helping us fall in love with crochet and for her to spend less time on electronics!! xx
  • 5/5 from Carol Chappell, attended Oct 2024: What a fabulous class! The teacher was so patient; giving everyone in the group plenty of 1:1 support. I came away with a good understanding of the basics & the enthusiasm to practice. Lovely choice of wool to use in the session & keep afterwards. Great value for money
  • 5/5 from Helen Evans, attended Oct 2024: A super class! Amy, our tutor was enthusiastic and approachable and explained/demonstrated stitches etc. very clearly. She was patient and as there were only three of us in the class, we all had plenty of 1 to 1 attention. Good quality materials were provided in a handy cotton bag, along with clear instructions for us to use when practising at home. I really enjoyed the class and was happy with what I managed to achieve! Please extend the range of in-store classes Hobbycraft, as not every one can access online classes easily.
  • 4/5 from Patricia, attended Oct 2024: Teacher was very informative and explained everything with much patience, going round us each in turn to help which we all required for different reasons. Sadly there was another group sitting beside us doing a different class which I found very distracting more-so because I wear hearing aids. The time flew by as we were so busy concentrating on what we were each doing, starting with the basic chain, then double and finally treble stitches. Mastering the initial stitch was the hardest thing!

  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Aug 2024: Very friendly and patient teacher. Explained how to do the stitches clearly and in a simple way that was easy to understand. I now feel much more confident and think I would be able to progress with a project.
