Mosaics Workshop

Make your own mosaic art in this North London class.

6 hours Class size 8 to 10     label £85

Discover the art of mosaic making with local mixed media artist, Alex McHallam, in this engaging and hands-on workshop.

In this class, you will learn the basics of mosaic design, cutting techniques, and how to bring your ideas to life. If you've never made a mosaic before, don't worry! Alex will guide you through the process from start to finish.

You'll be working on your own choice of project which can be a small mosaic plaque, terracotta plant pots, wooden boxes, you name it. Whatever you want to work on, just get in touch to see if the material is suitable.

Using a range of materials and adhesives, you'll explore different techniques leaving you with your own mosaic piece to take home and cherish.

There will be a short break for lunch included in the class, giving you a chance to relax and recharge before diving back into your creative endeavours.

Stitch!

Stitch! was launched in May 2019 aimed at satisfying the needs of the fast-growing army of crafters, sewers, makers from beginners to experts. We run crafting workshops ranging from learning to use a sewing machine for total beginners and gain sewing skills to dressmaking for improvers, patchwork, knitting, crochet, macramé and mosaic as well as sell fabric, haberdashery and crafting supplies.

The idea of Stitch! was born when Rodwins in Southgate closed its doors in December 2018. The local crafting community in Southgate were devastated so Suzanne, Karen and Carol came up with plans to provide haberdashery, fabrics and knitting supplies with the addition of crafting classes for all ages.
