Beginner's Furniture Painting Workshop

This hands-on activity is perfect for anyone aged sixteen and over who wants to learn a new, long-lasting skill.In this workshop, I will teach you how to prepare your item for painting. You'll learn the correct way to clean and sand your furniture, and I’ll explain what type of paint to use and why. I use Frenchic Paint, who, in my opinion, are the market leaders. I will show you both brush and roller techniques, and you will be able to paint your piece of furniture ready to take home by the end of the session. You will also learn how to seal and care for your painted furniture once you get it home.Please bring your own small piece of furniture, such as a wooden chair, an occasional table, a small stool, or a wooden box. While you can bring a bedside table or a chest of drawers, please be aware you may not finish it in time. If you don't have a piece of furniture, please let me know, as I can source one for you for a small additional cost.The class will be a fun and creative opportunity to learn, with a maximum of five participants and plenty of tea and coffee. You'll go home with your beautifully updated piece of furniture and a wonderful sense of accomplishment in your new skills.This will take place at my cosy upcycling studio, Vintage Chic ReLoved, Ferry Lane, Shepperton which is on the banks of the River Thames. On site there is a large car park and cafe where I have a 10% discount code. Included in the workshop will be all paint (Frenchic products), cleaning and sanding equipment, PPE (gloves, mask, goggles), brushes, and rollers. You will go home with a painted piece of furniture.
