Get stuck into a new DIY craft with this four-week beginner glass art course!

During this course, your friendly teacher will begin with a brief description of what glass fusing is, the types of glass in the studio, tools you will be using and the design options available to you.

After learning all the fascinating fundamentals, you will be shown step-by-step how to make beautiful and unique pieces of fused and slumped glass in a creative and supportive atmosphere.

Whilst beginners learn the basics of fused and slumped glass art, advanced students will continue to build upon their knowledge base. Each week will be a different DIY project and there will be plenty of opportunities to explore frits, stringers, mica, millefiore, and use them in your designs.

During this craft course, you are welcome to work completely at your own pace with lots of one-to-one tutoring available throughout each session.

At the end of this course, you will have finished a range of glass art projects. Your teacher, Teresa, will let you know when your items are ready to collect, or you can arrange to have your work posted to you at additional cost.

Teresa started her journey as a jeweller producing textured and dimensional pieces on copper and silver, she then started to use enamel for added colour.

Enamelling took over as a passion and she works and teaches enamelling and other crafts from her craft studio in the small village of Blackwell, near Bromsgrove, Worcestershire.
