In our workshop, you will dive into the art of clay sculpture and hand building, creating your own lap/cot-sized quilt from start to finish. Guided by our experienced tutor, Sarah, you will learn how to design, cut, patchwork, quilt, and bind your quilt, with the freedom to choose your preferred methods at each stage. Suitable for beginners who can stitch a straight line on a sewing machine, this four-week class offers a hands-on experience in quilt making.
- Discover the joy of designing your quilt layout and selecting fabrics
- Explore different cutting techniques to bring your design to life
- Learn various patchworking methods to create beautiful patterns
- Master the art of quilting as you stitch the layers together
- Finish strong by binding your quilt with finesse
Throughout the class, all materials and light refreshments will be provided, giving you the space to focus on honing your quilting skills. At the end of the workshop, you'll not only have your very first quilt to take home but also a newfound confidence in your quilting abilities. Let your creativity soar as you envision the kind of quilt you'd like to make next, and gain valuable insights into additional resources for your quilting journey.
