What you'll do
If you're the proud owner of a new sewing machine and would love to discover some of the amazing things you can do with it, learn how to use free machine embroidery to create a beautiful stitched bowl at this fun sewing class in Thames Ditton.Under the tutelage of an experienced teacher, you'll have fun learning how to use water-soluble fabric, trap threads inside it and stitch on top of it to create a wonderfully lacey effect. Enjoy the fascinating process as you wash away the fabric to leave your delicate stitching in place. Experiment using different colours to create a multicoloured bowl that is strong and sturdy once dry. With this technique the possibilities are endless!Don't worry if you're a complete beginner, as you'll have all the help you need from your friendly, knowledgeable teacher. You'll leave with your beautiful bowl in hand, as well as a head full of new knowledge about your sewing machine that you can put to good use in the future.Please note: Your bowl will need around 48 hours to fully set once completed.
