What you'll do
If you've got a new sewing machine and want to learn how to make the most of it, improve your sewing skills and have a fun time doing it with this foundation paper piecing workshop in Worcester Park.
Foundation paper piecing is used to create fabric designs accurately. It is sometimes used in making quilt patterns to help to get really accurate shapes but it is also often used for creating pictures from fabric. Come along and learn how it works and have a go yourself by making a lovely design to take home as a piece of fabric art.
Don't worry if you've never tried anything like this before, as you'll have the full support of your friendly teacher throughout the class, who'll make sure everything goes smoothly as you create your design. You'll leave with your finished design, along with the skills you need to use foundation paper piecing in your future projects.
Knowledge required
You will need to be comfortable sewing on a line on a sewing machine. If you can do that - you're qualified to take part!
