3D Felted Vessel Workshop

With the guidance of experienced artist Lesley, you will dive into the world of 3D vessel making using the wet felting technique.Under Lesley's expert instruction, you will learn the essential skills needed to create stunning 3D vessels. From blending and laying out wool fibres to incorporating other fibres for surface decoration, every step will be carefully demonstrated and explained. You will also explore the use of a resist for 3D work and the techniques required to manipulate your creation, giving it shape and intricate detail.Worried about materials? Rest assured, the workshop fee includes a pack of wool fibres, as well as other fibres for decoration. Additionally, you will have access to all the necessary feltmaking equipment during the workshop. If you prefer, you are welcome to bring your own fibres, as long as they are suitable quality wool unspun roving or tops in a medium micron weight. Lesley recommends breeds such as Shetland, Finn, Swedish or Swiss, Gotland, Bergshaf, but Merino can also be used with extra layers for added sturdiness. Don't have the right fibres?
