What you'll do
Kickstart your sewing confidence with this three-part sewing course in London.
You'll learn a series of sewing skills, develop your knowledge and make some lovely items along the way.
Session one
Get to know your sewing machine with this supportive session which covers a complete introduction to sewing on a machine. Whether you are a complete beginner or just feeling a little rusty, this sewing workshop will boost your knowledge and your sewing confidence.
Guided by your experienced tutor, you'll learn to understand your sewing machine, covering threading and an overview of stitches. You'll pick up loads of useful tips! During this session, you'll make a variety of samples: straight seam, French seam, inward curve, outward curve and bunting triangle.
Session two
Make a collection of pattern weights. A great addition to your sewing kit and a lovely way to practice your new skills. This sewing class will help you to continue to grow in confidence and build on your skills from session one.
Session three
Make a gorgeous tote bag with a boxed bottom and fabric handles.
By the end of your three sewing classes, you'll have developed your confidence in sewing on a machine and will have learnt a range of new skills to allow you to continue your sewing journey at home.
