What you'll do
Indulge in a day of glamour and creativity that promises to awaken your senses and leave you with a dash of elegance. The perfect experience to share with friends at a birthday party or hen do with a difference.
Start the day with a delightful spread of coffee, teas, sparkling water, biscotti, and fresh fruit. Then it's onto creative crafting as you decorate French knickers with frou-frou, vintage ribbons and trims.
You'll be guided by ex-fashion designer Liz Lewitt, known for selling lingerie to Vivienne Westwood's son, Agent Provocateur or afternoon Burlesque dance teacher. Picture yourself on plush sofas, a glass of Prosecco in hand, surrounded by an atmosphere of creativity and sophistication.
For lunch, you'll be relishing in an Italian antipasti graze table. Let your tastebuds dance amidst a variety of flavours, setting the stage for the enchanting afternoon ahead.
Then it's time for the Upper Malt House to transform into a haven of movement and expression. Choose between a dance class with fan wings or a burlesque class, complete with gloves and boas. The tables are removed, making space for you to unleash your inner performer in a supportive and lively environment.
The day concludes with a choice of a (weak!) cocktail or a comforting coffee, providing the perfect finale to your glamorous escapade.

Il Bordello was originally the name of the converted Dutch barge, moored in Central Bristol, which had been lovingly converted by Liz Lewitt and her partner Zoff Hayward. It was a music industry and media members only bar, with events ranging from live music, art exhibitions and spoken word events to product launches, private parties and burlesque evenings. The cocktail menu was ground breaking of it’s time, it was the first bar outside London to sell vapourised alcohol and it welcomed musicians, artists, poets, party people and Hell’s Angels alike.
Providing bespoke catering, hospitality, classes and entertainment, for both in-house guests at Mill End and also ‘on the road’ for private events and guests of other large holiday lets, Bordello Banquets is a love affair with food; a visual, sensory feast; with Mediterranean menus and home cooking, using the very best of local and artisan products and a quirky and creative take on table design and styling. Bordello Banquets also specialises in hosting whole themed weekends for hen parties.
