This beginner's cooking class is taught in small groups so you can be sure you will get plenty of time with the expert chef leading the session. There will be plenty of handy demonstrations that will help you learn cooking skills as well as lots of hands-on experience.

We cover all sorts of fundamental skills, from learning how to use your knives to figuring out what different terms mean. You'll get to grips with a variety of veggies, meats, pulses and grains, all to broaden your knowledge of food types and flavours. By the end of this class, you're sure to know your brunoise from your batons and the best way to slice and dice.

Some other techniques you'll cover are boiling, poaching, frying roasting and steaming. You'll learn how to steam, boil or stir fry perfect rice in ten minutes and cook dishes like a sizzling stir fry, a tantalizing chilli con carne, a delicious tomato pasta sauce and a dazzling chicken dhansak.

You'll be cooking up some tasty meals that you can delight in yourself, or take home to share with your friends and family. Wow them with your incredible skills all learnt here at The Cooking Academy.
