  • 5/5 from Elsa, attended Jul 2026: Our instructor was amazing, adapting to everyone's needs, didn't talk in ways that were confusing and repeated as many times as needed. She explained and demonstrated each step of crocheting and didn't move on till we were all ready. Our instructor had a wonderful character, making us me feel relaxed. She was easy approachable to ask questions. It was a lovely training session, and I feel a lot more confident at crocheting, I will be back to take the next steps and learn more stitches etc. Thank you for making me feel welcome and supporting me.
  • 5/5 from Susan Schultz, attended Jun 2026: Perfect way to learn. A relaxed atmosphere with a friendly teacher who demonstrates clearly and gives time to practise. No sense of pressure or competition. Thank you so much
  • 5/5 from Katie Wood, attended May 2026: Teacher was lovely and very patient. I would love more choice of classes like reading through an instructions class and jargon. Or weekly class for projects.
  • 5/5 from Connie Carmichael, attended May 2026: Lisa was very patient and explained everything to us, showing us samples and giving us confidence in how to begin crochet
  • 5/5 from Yvonne Morton, attended May 2026: Really good class. Lisa was so knowledgable, friendly and patient teaching crochet for beginner's. She helped everyone on a 1-2-1 basis and as a group. Was much easier to learn by being shown instead of watching videos. Lisa also explained how to correct when we went wrong. The class was a good pace and a fun atmosphere. A great way to learn a new skill.
  • 5/5 from Denise Murray, attended Apr 2026: The class with Lisa was 1st class. It was a nice small group of brand new beginners to crochet. She very friendly and super patient and I can't wait to start some one to one sessions. Mt only suggestion for improvement would be to extend the classes to a learner group to meet on a course basis so that they could advance their skills together.
  • 5/5 from Voni Walker, attended Apr 2026: Lisa was a really great teacher. She was very patient and explained things clearly. I didn't have any previous crochet experience and I love the two stitches that we learnt. It's a great base to build on. I didn't come with any end goal in mind, just to learn a new skill.
  • 5/5 from Annette Deacy, attended Mar 2026: Fantastic experience. A really successful session, lead by a skilled teacher, who patiently guided us through the basic stitches of crochet. Would highly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Joanne Cooke, attended Mar 2026: Teacher very helpful and relaxed, really enjoyed the class, materials good quality and very therapeutic
  • 5/5 from Julia Howard, attended Mar 2026: Teacher was very friendly and approachable. Explained things clearly. Class size was ideal.
  • 5/5 from Jackie Carr, attended Mar 2026: Such a helpful class, really feel I know now what I'm doing, just about practicing now. The teacher was so helpful and patient, nothing too much trouble. The only thing I didnt like was how quick the time went!
  • 5/5 from Ruth Haydon, attended Feb 2026: Enjoyable and relaxing time had learning to crochet. Really helpful tips and reassurance having tried and failed to learn to crochet independently. Thanks
  • 5/5 from Sophie Lynch, attended Feb 2026: Great to get started
  • 5/5 from Jessica Sedgwick, attended Feb 2026: They was 4 by of us in the class, the teacher was very friendly and knowledgeable. We all felt at ease and were able to ask many questions and not feel awkward. It didn't matter how many times we re started are work.
  • 1/5 from Heather Blake, attended Feb 2026: Whilst the teacher was friendly and provided a good working enviroment, the crochet skills she taught were questionable at best. Having watched Youtube videos after for further guidance, and spoken to those I know can crochet, the stitches taught were not the correct method. On top of this, despite knowing I was struggling in the class, the teacher sat doing her own crochet instead of offering guidance. My final concern is that there was no drinks facilities, not even water, and the one lady who did need the toilet had to be given the code for the employee facilities which wasn't great. I would not recommend this class for anybody wishing to learn crochet.
  • 5/5 from Seth Cusack, attended Jan 2026: My 10 year old son completed this workshop at Stockport with Lisa. She was lovely and took the time to go around each person to check they were ok. Seth LOVED it and has been crocheting at home since coming back and is gaining his confidence. We will let him practice for a few weeks and then book onto the next steps workshop to progress
  • 5/5 from Helen Beswick, attended Jan 2026: Brilliant class, very patient tutor. Looking forward to the intermediate class
  • 5/5 from Claire Green, attended Jan 2026: Attended a nice small class. The teacher was friendly, patient and helpful and took her time with the two of us so we understood. Attending a small class was an advantage as I was able to position myself to clearly see her demonstrations. The area/room itself was very cold despite heating being on in other parts of the store. Hopefully this has been resolved. This class covered the basics and recommend! Parking is easy.

  • 5/5 from Jacqui Freeman, attended Jan 2025: Really enjoyed the crochet class at Hobbycraft Stockport - we had 5 people and 2 teachers, so it was easy to follow and ask for help. It was great value too - we all left with a bag, 2 balls of wool, a crochet hook and some simple instructions. It really is a beginners class, so don't book it if you can already crochet beyond a simple chain stitch. Would really recommend
