Honestly - fantastic workshop. It was really wholesome and fascinating to understand how to bring a beautiful perfume together using essential oils and the carrier oil. Kai was absolutely amazing at teaching and guiding us. He was very helpful and knowledgeable too! I would highly recommend for any occasion. Christmas Gift Experiences Edinburgh
Why experience vouchers make the best gift ideas for Christmas
There’s only so many times you can present your nearest and dearest with the same old Christmas gift ideas; from novelty secret Santa gifts with about as much appeal as cold Christmas pudding to boring bath salts, tired ties and mundane mugs, we think it’s time to leave the shops behind and up your gifting game with an experience present instead. Whether you’re searching for Christmas gifts for Mum that will help her switch off from the daily grind, Christmas craft gifts for the creative soul in your life or something truly special that will fill your partner's heart with joy this yuletide, our selection of fun Edinburgh activities will definitely tick all the boxes.
Shopping for a crafty newbie or cooking novice? No problem – many of our craft classes, mixology workshops and cooking sessions are designed with the beginner in mind, so even if they’ve got no experience with a needle or they don’t know their braising from their blanching, they’ll still be able to join in with some wonderful Christmas-themed Edinburgh experiences. Led by talented teachers, local artisans and professional chefs at a variety of locations across Edinburgh, your loved one will be in safe hands as they set off on their creative journey, and will be guided step-by-step through the whole festive session.
Personalised Christmas gift ideas for your loved ones
What do you buy the person who has everything? A Christmas gift experience in Edinburgh, of course! If they’ve got a library full of books, a wardrobe full of clothes and more mugs than you can shake a stick at, treating them to a fun Edinburgh activity will definitely make them smile on Christmas morning. After all, nothing shows how much you love them like a completely personalised Christmas present, tailor made to their own interests!
Are they a culinary novice prone to a few kitchen nightmares? A cooking class or baking experience will help them learn how to polish up their pasta skills, boss bread making and discover how to make some delectable fried dumplings. Shopping for a creative guru who’d like a new crafty challenge? Send them off to master macrame or explore embroidery at a textile art class, or let them get their hands dirty at a wonderful wheel throwing pottery session. Trying to find unique gift ideas for someone who’s interested in the more unusual side of life? Treat them to a stone carving workshop, a blacksmith experience or a woodworking session where they’ll learn to get to grips with some of the more adventurous crafts on our list. There really is something for everyone!
Try DIY Christmas gifts this year
Christmas is the perfect time to get crafty – whether you’re a creative guru with crochet hooks for fingers, or a total novice who’s never even threaded a needle; it’s all about trying new things and getting into the festive spirit!
