A modern tale, a story of female entrepreneurship.
Born in post-war Italy, in the poor South, a young and courageous woman opens her first corner shop in a village of not even 1000 souls.
Giovanna, or as everyone called her Nina, with love and great passion manages her business which in a short time becomes the only point of reference in the village and where she proudly also raises 4 children and 9 grandchildren.
La Nina Caffe’ & Mercato in London, was born with the same purpose: to bring quality and, above all, that approach to customer service which made every visit to La Nina special.
The founder of the project is the eldest niece, Monica, who learned to sell, communicate, create relationships, in that magical place of Nina's shop, and she now is eager to recreate that atmosphere at the moment online through her exquisite e-commerce, and in her first store and cooking school on Isle of Dogs, at the Skyline Village.

We absolutely loved this class. The teacher is so knowledgeable and kind with, she really took the time to check on everyone’s progress and made sure to create a welcoming environment for everyone to enjoy their experience. Really liked her energy and advice. I feel 100% prepared to make my own pasta at home.
We wrapped up trying our delicious spinach and ricotta ravioli and a tomato sauce tagliatelli, with a nice glass of wine. I’ll definitely come back for more classes!
