Throughout the year, Hobbycraft host a variety of workshops in stores and online, designed to give everyone the opportunity to master a new craft or refine a long-time favourite. Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.
Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

The class was really good value for money. My children got to make 2 clay animals each and really enjoyed themselves. The teacher was kind and friendly and quick to notice when someone needed help. He explained really clearly and age appropriately.

Anthony was great, with two younger kids (3yo). He gave us a bit of extra time and we made 3 Christmas decorations. Will definitely back for some more kiddo craft and adult as well.

The teacher Anthony was great! He was supportive, helpful and friendly. It was a nice activity to do to get in the Christmas spirit and was only made nicer by the positive vibes and can do attitude from Anthony. The materials were decent quality and the whole experience was good value for money. Really happy with my end product and I had a good time making it. Would recommend!

The wreath making class was a great experience, have not done anything like this before. I was extremely surprised how enjoyable the class was and our teacher Kelly(think that was her name, I have a terrible memory)was lovely, she was kind, patient and you could ask her anything. The materials were all of good quality, the only thing I would of liked to see were some glittery bits, like baubles, little Christmas figures ect. Will definitely book another class at some point. Just need to hang my wreath on the door now :0)

Great 1 hour workshop at Biggleswade store. There were 3 of is - the tutor, myself and my friend. Great amount of materials just right to decorate the star. We did ask if we could have some dark blue ribbon to match the berries - this was not a problem, our tutor got us several to choose from. We were able to take home anything we had not used up with some additional wire incase we wanted to add more at home. The time was enough to complete the project. All in all we were both very pleased with our star wreaths. As you can see from the photos, I added my own lights when I got home.

My son had a great time making his pumpkin. Anthony was friendly and offered help and suggestions. I would definitely recommend if your child likes crafts. It is very reasonably priced and I’m sure we will be back again.

Niall was friendly, clear and polite and listened to the kids with regard to what they wanted to make.
Lots of clay was provided and lots of tools were available.
The session was for the right number of children (5max) and lots if handy hints were provided!
My girls loved it and we shall look out for more sessions like this!

Our 5 year olds really enjoyed this session! The instructor was super lovely and relaxed which helped the children relax! Everything was demonstrated really clearly so they were able to understand and create independently! 5 stars

Niall, our teacher did a fantastic job with our grandchildren aged 8 and nearly 5. He showed us what to do and then was led by what they wanted. The two Clay Pots they produced were stunning, beautifully decorated with different coloured diamonds. We loved all of it. Thank you

Me and my friend attended a Christmas workshop with our two young children. They loved it and the guy who took it (Antony) was brilliant from start to finish. He helped them, was patient, he made us and the kids laugh from the start. We had a fab morning

Sian was patient and very knowledgeable. Hook and 2 different coloured yarn provided as well as an instruction pack to take away. Bizarre, it was held in the middle of the sales floor but it wasn’t busy, but it could’ve got awkward. Great session

My friend and I both had a great experience making our wreaths. Although it was our instructor's first time doing this workshop, he was very knowledgable and friendly. There were 4 of us in the session and there was a friendly atmosphere. Really great to see us all do our own thing with our wreaths and come up with our own designs. I purchased a couple of robins in addition to the kit that comes with the workshop to tailor it even more to my liking. The berry cutting did get a bit messy though and they were flinging all over the place! Great fun! Now we've got a glue gun to keep and plenty of little pine cones left to use on other projects.

A really lovely workshop. Sally our teacher was so warm, friendly and encouraging. She was really informative about the process and so complementary about our creations. Lovely items provided to decorate our wreaths with too. A really great experience that I will recommend to others!

Sian was amazing. Guided us where needed and encouraged us to use our creativity. Everything we needed was provided and we had lots of fun. Even better that we had our own box to take everything home. We'll worth the money an excellent experience.

Niall was so friendly and helpful, it was a fun learning session and I worked out how to use and set up my new sewing machine, it gave me confidence to go home and practice, everything was explained well and I would highly recommend these sewing classes!

Really fun session where I learnt a lot, including mistakes not to make (and if I'd tried it myself without tuition, I'd have made them with no idea how to put things right).
The £25 got me an hour and a half or 1:1 tuition (I got lucky!) plus £9 or so of kit and materials. Good value for money.
Friendly helpful staff, help packing the results so they could get home and dry without damage, and a LOT of Xmas decs as a result. Once they're dry, I can wreck them with my terrible painting :)

Sian was a super engaging and patient member of staff who took the children (of very different ages) through the process of decorating their huge pumpkins with colourful tissue paper. She couldn’t have been more helpful and encouraging and my two children thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was super value for money and a great way to break up the day.

The pumpkin was much bigger than expected.
Lots of materials available.
To improve: larger area, pre-made packs for each child sorted out.
An example or pictures of completed pumpkins so modelling the idea.

We had Grace for the dinosaur fossil making session. She was lovely and really patient with my daughter.
The venue was obviously brand new having only opened recently, so was lovely.
As we were the only ones at the session, there was lots of space. If the class had been full, I think it would have been a lot more crowded however and may have affected shoppers who weren’t taking part.
The materials were all provided. My daughter enjoyed playing with the soft clay so I purchased 4 packets for us to use at home.
It was a lovely class. It was shorter than the hour specified but that was due to us being the only ones booked in so Grace didn’t have to split her time between more children.
I would book further classes. It was a nice little outing to start the day.

Really pleased that Hobby Craft offer these workshops as this is something I’ve wanted to try for ages.
