If you're looking for fun things to do in Dorset, why not learn the art of fused glass making and screen printing on glass at this relaxed, all-day workshop in West Lulworth?
Guided by friendly expert Wendy, you'll enjoy crafting and creating in a stunning converted barn and studio overlooking the Lulworth Hills. Let the enchanting views and calming atmosphere inspire you as you learn how to make your three unique glass designs with a sea or meadow theme.
This workshop is suitable for beginners or returning makers and is a brilliant chance to work on larger items in greater detail and with more time than the half-day session allows.
You'll use screen printing and embossing techniques combined with coloured glass fragments, granules, glass rods and metallic sheets to create your three pieces of fused glass art. Specialist glass sheets can be purchased for an additional cost.
Whether you choose to make an artwork for a frame, tea light curves and wave shapes, coasters, a trinket dish, a sun catcher or decorations, you'll end this fun craft class with three beautiful fused glass creations to call your own and the skills to make more!
Wendy will fire your glass after the workshop, ready for collection 14 days after your class. An additional postage fee of £8 per person is required if you can’t collect the glass in person.
Please note:
For students with allergies/animal fears: this workshop is run from Wendy's home studio where she has a pet dog and cat. The dog is a poodle mix (hypoallergenic) who is out with a dog sitter whilst the workshops are on and the cat is kept out of the workshop space.
