What you'll do
Join us for a glass fusing class at a studio in Cranborne or Walford Mill Crafts where you'll learn the art of fused glass and create two beautiful designs to take home. Let this workshop introduce you to the wonders of glass fusing, from crafting a suncatcher to a coaster or picture-sized design.
Designed as a taster workshop for fused glass, this experience is perfect for beginners looking to express themselves creatively in a fun and engaging atmosphere, as they explore basic tips and techniques.
Use your teacher Linda's templates and pre-cut shapes to explore the basic process of kiln-formed glass and incorporate metals, granules, and glass beads into your creations to add texture.
During the workshop, you'll have plenty of opportunities for one-on-one assistance, ensuring you feel comfortable and supported throughout the experience. This could be your first step towards a new hobby, discovering your creative talent or simply having some fun with like-minded people.
Your finished designs will be ready for collection 10 days after the session, or they can be posted to you for an additional cost of £8.
Knowledge required
No experience is necessary. Suitable for beginners and those who have worked with glass before.

Linda has been a glass artist for over 20 years, based at her workshop near Cranborne, Dorset.
Linda explores the traditional techniques of stained glass, copper foil ‘tiffany’, mosaics and glass fusing. Captivated by the light, texture and colour combinations of glass, she has developed a range of vibrant contemporary designs.
These include, framed tiffany pictures and sun catchers, vibrant fused glass jewellery, and fused glass hangings, coasters and bowls.
Her work is inspired by the natural forms and colours.
